A rough tribute to a new friend here at WDC, Wes Hall.
Keep in mind that this is a rough attempt to say thank you to a new friend for being a friend.  There will be other attempts.  Stacy, you're next.  Here goes nothing, Wes.

Heart of a Poet

A heart full of bruises
Scares from love lost
The pain he uses
Is poet’s cause

When words are not enough
To help other’s need
He has heart felt love
He knows no greed

He reads your story
As if it were his own
He can feel your pleas
Because he too has felt alone

As a person should
He draws from his pain.
He did what he could,
Making a friendship his gain.

His port is always open wide,
Waiting for your visit.
He may have already cried
Your tears, so please don’t miss it.

He has love lost
The seasons of the year
Some poems show the cost
Of having certain fears

So if you are down
Or just looking for something to do
Go on in and sit right down
He’ll be great company for you.
