If you have heard the sound, you know how peaceful it is.
When I have a belly full of good food, eaten with loving friends,
I can hear babies snoring.
When the ball game is over, and we stand there sweating, giving high fives, win or lose,
I hear babies snoring.
Babies snore, day or night, when you least expect it.
It is the sound of peace.

As people are giving me a hard time,
Babies are snoring somewhere.
I listen for the quiet sound.
When I find myself horribly mistaken,
There have got to be babies snoring somewhere.
I listen for the raspy rhythm.

Today's world is noisier than ever;
But, cats still purr and babies still snore.
I was a baby snoring once.
Like an inner layer of an onion, I still am.

Don't wake the baby.
