volcano, poetry

                                              Come

                                    on Home, kick me,

                                Yell like a grizzly bear,

Catch your fish out of its cold

Waters and never let it go. I am

Handled like a delicate flower, and then the

Tornado comes to rip off my petals. I am like

A deer running from a lion I hear the volcano erupting,

I am like a wild cat walking back and forth in his cage.

Layers of orange and red lava cover me. I am the burning fire in your chimney

You can never put out. Come on home, and there will be no one to kick anymore.

Notes to reader: Poem is shaped like a volcano.
