1/08 Maybe there really is something wrong with society and normalcy.
Ninety-six percent of the land is rural
but television only shows you the big city.
The uncatchable dreams of stardom.
General merchandise is borderline profit
and emotional investments are loony currency.
Everyone's poor but the population keeps bubbling.
These are troubled times
for intelligent, over-imaginative minds
I suppose.
Our biased media will have you believing
that it isn't so
and couldn't possibly be true.
The welfare isn't fair
and justice isn't just.
It's rambling barer than a newborn
waiting to be swallowed by kin.
We're even hungrier
for the next public execution
on full tummies toward empty heads.
Follow the spin as best as you can;
I've got no time to talk right now, ma.
I'm fresh out of ideas
and I'm off to see the queen.
