I wrote this after I got my heart broken for the first time.
Verse One:
I keep away from reality
cause dreams never come true when I'm awake.
Passion and Jelousy
have stolen the life that I tried to make.

Bridge:
How can I see the light
without you next to me at night?
I have nothing left to give.
Nothing left to lose...

Chorus:
Rain on me. Wash the scars away.
Lay with me beneath the stars' masqurade.
You and me are the way things should be.
Forgive me for being me and rain on me.

Verse Two:
You get farther every day.
And yet, I can't find a single way.
The hope has whithered to nothing.
But, every night I pray.

Bridge:
How can I see the light
without you next to me at night?
Looking up into the clouds above
I need to you come back.

Chorus:
Rain on me. Wash the scars away.
Lay with me beneath the stars' masqurade.
You and me are the way things should be.
Forgive me for being me and rain on me.

Middle Eight:
The sun screams down and burns my neck
a reminder that there's no going back.
As the tears run from my eyes,
a gentle rain comes from the sky...

Chorus:
Rain on me. Wash the scars away.
Lay with me beneath the stars' masqurade.
You and me are the way things should be.
Forgive me for being me and rain on me.
