Hate your alarm clock? Read this and know why I don't anymore.
My Wake Up Call

There's a buzzer and a beep, the radio guy from the street, traffic, weather in your ear, mornin calling can't you hear?
There's the CD for the meeker, jazz piano from the speaker, shakes you slower, brings
you to, a calmer, saner kind are you.
Course there's reveille for some, heart-thumping rap, hip hop bass drum, loud-mouth talk, or just the scores, NPR,Pop, Rock and more.
Bird sounds, cock crows, nature's call, or rising sun glints off the wall.
Internal clocks for morning souls, or pitter-patter tiny feet looking for Cheerios-it's time to eat.
But nothing's as good as my wake up call, no matter how early or deep asleep,
my heart, not my ears wakes to move my feet.  For an act of love ignites my day and I count myself lucky they each start this way...the phone rings, I have it, and can't wait to hear; "Baby, you up? It's me, get your ass in gear!"
