Title sounds boring, but searching & FINDING information is part of the fun of genealogy.
When I moved to Ohio in 2002, I started researching the Ohio branch of my family.  Hiel Savage was a Revolutionary War pensioner living in Saratoga County, New York.  He had three grandchildren who lived with him after his son's death.  One of those children was my second great-grandfather, William Corey Savage, who moved to Brooklyn, New York.  Hiel's granddaughter, Miranda, married David Wood, and moved to Mansfield area in Ohio.  That was all the information I had when I started researching in Ohio.
