Perceptions of myself.
I watch myself in a light so dim
That you can see my face begin
To slide and move and shake and quake
And many a funny way to make

I see myself in a way so warped
That I look like a man in court
So scared and alert and ready and steady
And let my heart scream for the many

I hear myself in a whisper so quiet
That even so my words could start a riot
For anarchy and freedom and love and hugs
And know these can be done by hugs

I feel myself in a gentle touch
Even a slight brush can be too much
For the unloved and understanding and unknown and unspoken
And my touch can make these things open

I taste myself in a generous helping
For food can be hindrance but also a helping
For the tired and sick and poor and ignored
And can bring them with strength to further explore
