No cream but plenty of sugar.
You look so happy and serene.
Peaceful.
A cute smile if nothing more you flash,
setting ease to a sharp boy's struggling mind.
Even standing in a coffee shop making small talk
you still carry the humble demeanor
of an elderly woman
sleeping through her last days,
knowing her heaven awaits.
You're comfortable and content
and while not knowing exactly where you stand,
you know it won't be in as painful of a place.
There is so much to see
in an otherwise unnotable person
while still wondering
where my own destination is.
I do not wish to fall in love with you
nor find the real you.
I just know that for a moment
your easy gracefulness seeped through the air
and you became as beautiful
as your mother always said you were.
And within that same flash
of innocent charm and unexplained wonders,
I felt as beautiful as you.
