A poem of a broken heart
I’ve been burned I’ve been scorned but nothing I couldn’t handle before.
‘Till the day a brother betrayed and an angel tore my love away.
Leaving me like a cold and empty shell to rot and decay under the weight of their happiness and glee.
Love is not for me.
It burns a swath throughout my soul turning passion into ash.
I’m left without a path.
Do I mush forward towards the light or turn back and fight?
Is it better to not care or better to be aware?
Love is not for me.
To lose one and not gain another bears a question I’m obligated to utter.
Is love the one thing a person, a boy like me, really needs?
Or should the path I carve be decadent of it?
I know not the answer.
It’s the only reason why I ask.
my imperfect angel and brother of time burned and scorned me without a try.
And yet I’ll love them for all time…
