"Paper Flowers [E] by destinydances

Plastic cups hold violets and daisies,
Dandelion weeds in yellow or white.
Proudly a little girl's mom displays these
And smiles at her daughter's tender delight.

Alas, a wildflower withers and dies;
Young girl resigns she'll not pick another.
She, with napkins and artistic supplies,
Loves coloring flowers with her mother.

Little girl becomes a woman in time.
Tulips or roses her suitors will bring.
A fragrance such to fit love words to rhyme.
A gift for her to know of his longing.

Mom's colored paper flowers still today
Remain my memory's sweetest bouquet.

Plastic cups are holding always holding
Your violets and daisies in the night
Mother daughter smiling never scolding
As dandelions tremble with delight.

A simple wildflower withers…yes and dies
Young girl with tender heart can wither too
A mom can help with napkins and supplies
And sketching with your Mom brings me to you.

Of course a budding woman in due time
With suitors fine with tulips as their art
But they can’t fit your fondest words to rhyme
Remains for me to stroke your waiting heart.

From time immortal to this very time
A scent of lover in the verse of rhyme.

Plastic cups are holding…good idea, holding
Violets and daisies fragrance in the night
Mother daughter smiling…smiling never scolding
Dandelions in yellow tremble with delight.

Paper flowers your favorite bouquet
From time immortal to this very time
Scent of lover truly here to stay
Sailing on the fragile verse of rhyme.
