A poem of hope, hurt, love... life in general.
All these empty spaces,
I wish your love could fill.
All these crowded places,
And feeling of ill will.

I need a place to run...
But my legs are far too short.
You think I'm here just for fun-
But I never was that sort.

I crossed the sky, purposefully
And tried not to think of you.
The world is much too big for me,
And my lies, they all came true.

Faded handprints on our hearts,
And tears that wouldn't come.
You felt like life was missing parts,
And your heart, it just felt numb.

I closed my eyes, and hid for awhile.
I told you I forgot how to fight.
And when the sun came up, I bitterly smiled-
You taught me to believe in night.

Pick up your tears
And your broken dreams,
"To all these lovers, cheers!"
This life is not what it seems.

All these nameless faces,
And mistakes you knew you'd make.
In all these hopeful places,
Hearts so fragile, I pray they won't break.
