On a day like today.
The sky outside is crying ice
Wet, slushy, droplets of freezing cold
My heart inside is crying freedom
For I am a capsule claimed today

Sometime ago the sky shuddered
and I wonder what type of day it was
Did warmth permeate the air that day
or was it cold and frigid to the bone

It's grey outside today as the streets grow ever more slick
Stone grey outside today, but there is still enough light
It's pouring white today and I wonder if the sky knows
That it recieved life on a day many whiles ago

I am warm inside as I look out
The children are kept comforted too
For on a day that rolled stones away
The smiles of everyone show true
