A dark poem I wrote for English. I was not allowed to have a happy ending.

Her Hollow eyes show life's absence.
The sorrow of betrayal;
In the weeping girl's dead face.
For twenty lifetimes has she paid
a pennance not hers to bare
as generation upon generation of her kin,
preyed upon her ever decaying soul.
And still in death
there is no peace,
eternal torment and chaos reign supreme.
So again and again she dies
always in pain and suffering.
Forever she cries
As her soul
Slowly...
Wastes...
away.
