A poem that is just a stream of consciousness! It derives from walking in a snowstorm.
Spinning, spinning...
Whirlwind of white amidst the darkness.
Now there's the noise, or maybe the lack of noise.
      Was it there before?
        Why did this happen?
          How did I get here?
            What did I do?
Waves of regret wash over me.
                Memories flood my mind.
Broken promises as numerous as the flakes of white spinning around me.
                    Not again.
                      Betrayal.
                        All around me people fall.
Yet the ones that deserve to fall, are lifted up.
                            Maybe it's all backwards.
                              Falling.
                                Down and down I fall.
Face down in the frozen ground.
                                    How did I get here...
