I was on probation and i learn a lot.
I know what you're going to say,
"It's not my fault,"
I said the same thing,
And look at the result,
I'm on probation for a year,
That's why I'm here,
Writing this poem that you should hold dear.

"I didn't do it, it wasn't me,"
I said that too,
Now I'm not where I should be.
I'm stuck in the system,
When I should be moving up,
Knowing "I really did it,"
Is what made me stuck.

"I don't feel bad,"
Yeah that was me too,
I thought my utter lack of feelings,
Would help me through,
But they didn't, I felt bad in the end
Though I hide my feelings and try to pretend.

"I'm really sorry,"
And that is true,
I apologize for all I put you through
The paper work, the heartache
You give me your all,
And I just take.

"This is my last bad day,"
All the court dates are through,
There are no obstacles left in my way,
Except one! You
You stuck by me through thick and thin,
Showed me how to listen to the voice within,
Probation is now over and you're still there,
Showing everyday that,
"The system really does care."
