Savoring a moment to myself.
Wheat toast to my lips
limp with butter - it has lost its crunch.
My tongue presses up
releasing the sweet melted yellow.
Coffee now, just a bit too hot.
Slurp up steam and brown.
Lovely pleasure. I smile with the burn.
Hazelnut tinted liquid laps the sides of my tongue,
collects underneath and I swallow.
Mmmm. I think I'll have another.
