In this poem I feel I did not fulfill my obligations in front of my Creator.
God, forgive me as I am not a perfect man
Defective mind led me to what I've done

I should've kept my promise to be humble
Alas! I let my innocent soul to crumble

I should've treated others as they deserve
Respect is a commodity I may not reserve

I worshiped you only when was convenient
I thank you for being always kindly lenient

I don't blame anyone for my own deeds
We are resurrected with our own creeds

You set free those who are forgiven
You decide when judgment is given

Touch my broken soul with your kindness
Let me see the light beyond the blindness

I can't forever be a prey to ignorance
I can never feed my soul on abhorrence

As my worldly life is sadly short,
Show me how to love you from my heart
