A friend wanted me to write him a proposal he was to get engaged on prom night, he did
A picture is worth a thousand words.
Various words can portray love,
But when I try to describe you in words,
I seem to come up short.
My normal fountain of words tend to dry up,
Into a mute desert of thoughts in my head.

You don't know how you changed my life.
With each smile I receive from you,
My heart jumps and skips a beat.
My eyes long for a glance from your eyes.
My ears yearn for your voice.
When your voice calls out to me,
Its like a seagull singing in the ocean breeze.

You can't possibly comprehend,
How different one look from you can alter my mood.
How much emotion I feel,
When I say I love you.
People talk about their lover easily;
How sweet, nice, or beautiful they are.
When I try to explain why I love you,
My words come out bare and I get red in the face.
My love for you is so passionate, so true,
I wish I could prove all this to you.
So on this special day I would like to ask,
Would you spend the rest of your life with me?
