Grandma - thank you for everything you taught me!
It rained outside on the day you died,
But there was no window for you to see,
The Angels cried, their tears fell from the skies,
And I wondered how this came to be.
Just as we feared, your time was near,
We recited your favorite, Psalm 23.
You were at peace then,
No more did we ask when,
From this life you silently slipped away.
I hope and I pray we'll meet again someday,
And that our reunion will be filled with joy.
Until that day, come when it may,
I will remember you, and Death no longer will I fear.
