A proud day going fishing with my uncle and our friend from league...
A pleasant catch for a young fisherman,
A four-and-a half-pound trout,
Reeled in from a majestic local lake
In a trolling electric watercraft.
My uncle, the avid fisherman,
And our good friend from bowling,
A proud fisherman in his own right,
Are in awe of my sizeable catch,
As am I.  Being fairly new to the sport,
I withhold my pride and immense appreciation
For the spectacular trout,
Since their luck was not as good.
We dock our rental boat,
And my uncle and I head home
For a tasty, satisfying meal,
The trout providing the extravagant, main course
For the fun-filled, celebratory evening
With Mom, Dad, and Uncle;
I pump my fists, wishing ill will
Upon the countless other fish
I look to hook and reel in
In the future…
