A quick cup of tea with the fretful Hatter himself.
The Mad Hatter asked me one day for a cup of tea.
I responded quickly, body filled with glee.

"Oh tea you say? Why what flavor?"
"Why certainly one I can savor."

"Herbal or decaf? Green, black or white?"
"One that is for sure always to excite."

I shrugged without a hint,
Then continued, my eyes filled with glint.

"I have ginger, lemon and peach.."
"No, I need something with evergreen beech."

"I can find an orange, cranberry, an almond spice.."
"No, I dislike those, they will never suffice."

"What about mango mist?"
"Yes, something with that sort of twist."

"Raspberry, vanilla, honey and mint."
"I must have one with a very pink tint."

"Breakfast, lunch, afternoon snack?"
"I do not care, but they must be individually packed."

"I know not what you want Mr. Hatter."
"I can not think with your tiresome chatter."

"Fine, whatever you say."
"This leaves me in slight dismay."

"Go drink your tea,
Oh let me be."

I was tired of his continually rambling talk.
Distressed with his bawk, squak and walk.

The mad Hatter asked me one day for a cup of tea.
I told him quickly, "Please, just let me be."
