Fun lil story bout strange friends
There once was a little fairy,
Her little name was Meep.
She was a little shepherd,
Guarding little sheep.
Meep wanted adventure,
She was sick of the mundane.
So she sold all the sheep,
And to the house she did the same.
She bought a tiny knife,
And made a little spear,
Unfortunately neither of which,
Even a fly would fear.
The tiny little fairy,
Trudged away from home,
Dodging acorn boulders,
And each apple seed tomb.
Whistling a little ditty,
Swaggering as she walks,
Lo and behold!
She met a cat who talks!
First the cat tried to bite,
But Meep told it no.
And soon the cat followed,
Wherever Meep would go.
This cat was not normal,
Its coat was dark blue,
The eyes were new moons,
And its ears were black too.
This kitty had magic,
This kitty love Meep.
And from this friendship,
Many benefits would reap.
Meep named this kitty,
Cutely calling her Squee.
They were the best of friends,
Any two creatures could be.
The night grew dark,
Meep made up the fire,
Then curled into Squee's soft fur,
Oh, she was so tired.
Squee wrapped around her,
Watching through the night,
Guarding her new master,
Ready, if need, to fight.
The morning dawned bright,
Meep woke and yawned,
Stretching her small body,
And drinking from a pond.
Squee was sleeping lightly,
And Meep started to grin,
Before she heard the sound,
That had her shivering.
A badger stood in front of her,
Sharp, yellow teeth bared.
Meep dove into Squee's fur,
So frightened, so scared.
Squee stood up tall,
And growled angrily at the beast.
She towered over him,
And she was raring for a feast.
Mr. Badger took one look,
And wisely tried to flee.
Squee was having none of that,
And she ate him in entirety.
Poor little Squee,
Her tummy hurt a lot.
Meep took good care of her,
Making sure her tea was hot..
After Squee was well again,
She and Meep made plans.
They would see all the jungles,
Feel all the desert sands.
They still travel today,
Sometimes you can see them,
A Kat as big as man, and,
A fairy smaller than a wee one's thumb.
