Nonsensical musings on life.
Some days I like to sit,
Just quietly watching,
So many people in this world,
Very few are pausing.
Everyone runs around,
Trying to meet this deadline,
This appointment,
Some specific time.
They don't pause to watch,
Anything not about them.
They are so wrapped up,
They don't see they are on a limb.
They are but a few steps,
Away from oblivion.
Just one step either way,
And they are done.
One misstep in this game,
The game we call life,
Can spell disaster,
Chaos, and strife.
I sit watching them,
Run by in high speed,
Shaking my head,
It is sad indeed.
There needs to be a button,
To make everyone stop,
So they can see the precipice,
To avoid that long drop.
That is my opinion,
Because the way I see it,
People are sands on a beach,
Millions washed away every second.
