Chapter Twenty-Six – Moon Times


DragonBlue knew before her tale was complete
This bard’s story of the Keltoi Nation’s history
Was the third bespoke of by Talon Morningstar
The final key as she was the third from afar.

She would be the link to the third dimension
To gather her young to hearth without retention.
Lilith was her way to ‘see’
‘Yes!’ she thought. ‘Finally!’

Rendezvous with Talon was three cycles away,
He would then find her as he had foreseen and claimed
In the sun’s thirty day cycle in the Luna rune
Known as the thirteenth, witch’s blue moon.

Charted to occur close to the harvest before Samhain,
A full rune’s cycle before the New Year began to reign.
The hair at the back of her neck stood on end
As Dragon Blue anticipated the magick to send
That she was to learn from Lilith of the Keltoi Nation.

Meanwhile, MoonChild listened in apprehension
To Lilith, unsure if to measure her as friend or foe,
For her magick was something she needed to know,
An answer to part of the riddle that she
Had sensed, yet could not see.
