Chapter Thirty-One - Twins


After the initial shock of the large wolf’s round yellow eyes
DragonBlue noted they were not of rage, deception and lies.
Everything else in the mundane and physical sense
Identical to the Dark Wolf, eerie and intense.

Less the cynicism, the deep black aura and flicker
of red behind the color of his eyes. The wolf sauntered
Forward, curiosity and caution in his demeanor.
As Dragon Blue from her initial shock tried to recover,

“You appeared to be terrified
For the first meeting of our eyes.”
Said the wolf without sound
Within her mind to bound.

“You have a twin in the third dimension
That’s twisted darkness and ill intention.
Praying upon all that are weaker than he,
with a special interest in Dragon cruelty.

The Dark Lord his master.” Replied the Dragon of Blue,
with the same mind speak for then one could say only truth.
MoonChild and Lilith watched this mental exchange
Apprehensive, as the dragon’s reaction was strange.

The wolf spoke aloud this time to put them at ease;
“I mean you no harm, as I am Talon’s trustee.
I know of your rendezvous for Talon and I have shared
Many fires since meeting, in several lifetimes paired.

We will follow no trail but will trek the wilderness
In hills to the east to meet him at the ravine’s crest.”

At this, the wolf pulled a band of leather
from his back paw with his muzzle together
motioned for DragonBlue to retrieve and read
The sigil of Talon in Keltoi Dragon Speak.

The message read, “Please follow your guide
As we will meet at full moon, midnight.”
