Anger is like an acid that corrodes the vessel in which it is kept.
THE PATH OF PEACE: a sonnet

Why don’t you quit this fighting attitude?
Like enemies we don’t have to behave.
Why not display a serene platitude?
Why must in anger you convulse and rave?

What did you gain by being bellicose,
Except some ulcers and many a scald?
Let life be lived like poetry, not prose;
Each poem does its own beauty herald.

For only a short time this life’s granted.
Make friends or enemies as per your will.
But rest assured whatever you planted
Won’t lie buried, will grow, and confront still.

My friend, it’s best to tread the path of peace
For your own happiness and mental ease.
