This was inspired by someone very dear to me.
She lost something, she does not know,
where it is, where it was.
Running hands through her hair,
does anyone know, does anyone care?
Do they see?
Faces of her but not herself.
Once maybe but not this time,
out of sight, out of rhyme.
Sight is useless to one of two.
What to do? Might be you.
How to feel, in the way of guilt's burden.
Maybe just one touch?
To feel the scream, to hear the pain!
In that moment, one sight of sanity.
