A Poe style poem. (Edited!) The first poem I ever wrote.
It is a cold and lonely fearsome night
that fills my very soul with fright
fright that fills my cold dead eyes
eyes that see the shadows fleeing
and wish to God they were not seeing.

Paranoia fills my head
I wish the pounding noise was dead
dead unto my aching ears
ears that wish to end the sound
of lonely hearts whose fear they've found.

At the window is a figure
and I fear it's growing bigger
bigger and is coming nearer
nearer to my fear it is
this shadowed figure must be his.

Death is knocking at my door
and now I fear it ever more
more that I will never see
see the light of day again
a hellish nightmare to where I've been.

A crack unto my dark filled room
my cold and musty soiled tomb
tomb to where my stench will linger
linger until my bode is found
but alas my heart won't sound.

Into hell my soul will tumble
and I fear my mind will crumble
crumble into nothing
nothing that will fill me
'Tis the fear that I will flee.

It is a cold and lonely fearsome night
that fills my very soul with fright
fright that fills my cold dead eyes
eyes that see the shadows fleeing
and wish to God they were not seeing.
