Obsession for the Stranger

Your reality dilates: you are everything
As the pupil in my mind’s eye, you breed new grief
For I am unknown, a silent witness, nothing.

A scavenger, I scrutinise the words you sing
Collecting them as jewels to shine, there’s no relief
Your reality dilates: you are everything.

In shadows my silhouette is ever changing,
An ethereal body is lingeringly brief
So I am unknown, a silent witness, nothing.

Morsels of you gestate indulgence though they sting,
Those succulent details rip holes like flesh on a reef
Your reality dilates: you are everything.

Your name, a sour tingle, a circular ring
Around my brain breeds septic rage and disbelief
That I am unknown, a silent witness, nothing.

I crave your tongue and mouth like a flowering
Bud though it would poison my blood- an Ivy leaf.
My fantasy dilates: You are everything,
And I am unknown, a silent witness. Nothing.
