This is a poem about being unfamiliar with love.

I don’t know how to love
So don’t be offended when I say
That I think we need sometime apart
I just need to get away
But if I did know how to love
Then I would definitely love you
This I am quite certain of
This I know I would do
Because you see I am afraid to love
Because love just lets you down
Love takes that smile on your face
And turns into a frown
So now I no longer take love seriously
I just think of it as a game
That way when it finally ends
I can no longer feel the pain.
