7/08 How people coexist in a modern world.
We've been engaged for months
but married for an eternity
and dates never seem to last long.
I have more words than their definitions
         themselves
which hopefully explains
your "not explaining further"
but I can't keep my eyes off your observations
and you won't demand so much but expect.
To complicate,
all I know is what I hope,
and neither choice is winning
by just making things worse.
A threadbare needle is the only device
sewing us together
and hemming up the edges
into everything we would otherwise
be calling something that's seemed.
