A woman has numerous failed romances, should she try again?

Our eyes met on a dance floor.
You are smooth, aqua blue,
loving life, safe to swim in.
I am a storm with white caps.

A squall moves within me,
thrashing against walls.
If you dare, hold on tight,
a crack can cause a downfall.

Noble Sir: a soft woman,
with tender dreams,
that cradle a heart,
is what you need.

Look closely, I am stone love.
Your words are lost in turmoil.,
Many men who touch me,
l leave broken and weak.

Penance of loving me,
is seas of turmoil.
I take you into smooth rivers,
then we swirl rapidly over a dam.

I am not sure what I need.
My heart doesn’t trust well.
Bruised, broken, tattered and torn,
fighting blindly is a reflex I know.

Could I take a chance?
Burned bridges, shattered hearts,
I am a child; torn, full of anger.
No place saved for love.

Tenderness is a slow dance.
I have to start with baby steps.
Someday I might waltz,
please don’t step on my toes.
