When I had to get a restraining order, most dramatic experience I've ever had.
Tensing up
and hold my hand.

Deep breath
its time to stand.

They're all looking now.

The people who hate me the most,
and the people who love me the most
sitting behind on either side,
all together in one room.

I'm not turning around,
or turning back.

Theres a "vs." on a paper
in between our names.

A deep monotone voice
begins to speak.

Even the walls come in closer
to hear every single word.

The breath of a man in my ear
whispering my options.

A life that had been patiently waiting for me
waiting outside. -Madeline Hunt
