Grew up here
From deep within the valley
         I hear a Siren’s call.
It beckons me “Come home again”,
         Come home before the fall.

The mountain holds my secrets,
though none there care to hear.
Along the river's rough cut banks
         My lonely thoughts were clear.

Too many miles I am from home,
         Too many days have passed
To once more walk the valley floor,
To be at  peace at last.
