views of a soldier.
Through their eyes
by: Hens

The sun's radiance has a way of shading us,
as we remain blamed for the actions in this changing dust.
Fields of sand seem untamed as they sway in gusts
were slaves without chains, still wrists stained with cuffs.
We stay in pain until it causes are veins to bust..
while foreigner's slay an we live in vain n' cuss.
yet this desert plane embraces are arrival,
our relationship's are vital for us bracing for survival
in no shape for a revival,
its a race, but were idle..
while were the face for a nation in need of an idol
now the goverment gazes upon us with starving eyes,
oversea's, like they actually oversee this armies lives
an advertise television with these alarming lies,
" are soldiers will never come to harm or die "
I got the memories on my skin, an I'm scarred inside
my eyes pry into my brain, these visions are too hard to hide
there barred and tied, I try to stowaway my history
by throwing away my misery before I start to cry
embark an thrive, We Are the tears of the sun,
in Iraq its clear, the inhabitants live in fear of the guns
we steer towards trouble and were here til' its done
an kill until our gun smoke starts to seer in our lungs
there's no cheer to be sung, there's no hero - just a bum
look in the mirror.. you can't fix em'
with this piss poor system -
that forgets what every vet has accomplished
lets treat it like slavery an let it be the next thing abolished
don't polish it - let the rule ring until your full of doubt
how did you let foreign lands get impregnated..
when a entire country was beggin you to pull us out
