Nothing to fear but fear itself. WON 3RD PLACE
Prompt: 6. "The only thing we have to fear is fear itself."
-Franklin D. Roosevelt

For They Fear

Through all the injustices,
Betwixt and between the lies
Their deceit continuous.
Their belittlement defies
Humane decency, let alone
Human and civil rights.
Spewing forth hatred they intone
Contemptuous of my plight

Laughing derisively as they
Watch my life force falter.
Condescending in an array
With their actions alter

My entire spirit as if I
Was a molded clay being
To be tortured over time.
Drawn and quartered for tearing.

For they fear
I am here
To bring upon their soul
Karmic debt they know
The reaper of due
Has come to rue.

For they fear
What they have given.
