I wrote this for my mom. Her dad and step-mom were really abusive.
What happened?
You use to love her.
You use to hold her.
You use to be there
And now your no where.

That man she knew
Is trapped behind a mask
You follow at your new wife's command
She's your daughter
You shouldn't treat her
The way you do.

Tell me
You don't love her
Do you?
No..
I thought thats what you'd say
But you know what?
Thats okay.
I won't say it either.
I won't call grandpa
I won't even see you

You hit her
Bruised her
Used her
Abused her
Left her
Beat her
But never once did you love her
No remorse
No tears
No conscience
Nothing
No feelings
No words
Just actions
That to you meant nothing

Punch
Slap
Kick
Your way of saying "I love you"
Was sick
Did it help?
No, really I want to know
Did it make you feel like a man?
Did it put on a good show?
I didn't think so...
Just FYI she's safe now
She's fine
Me, I'm your granddaughter.
The one you only saw once
I don't remember your face
I don't remember your voice or your smell
I remember your a coward and that
You'll always be one as well.
