Realizing that the one I once loved is not worthy of everything I have to offer.
The last time I tried, this blew up all over me.
You wanted friendship, a love hidden privately.
You wanted me on a leash, your dog on display.
One more time, one more game; just one more heart to play.

Well, now I'm free, and it tears you up deep inside.
So through your aggression, your deficiencies hide.
What will you do now that you have no more control
over things that once defined your oppressive roles?

I can hear you
screaming in the dark
as I take back
my torn and battered heart.

So when will you crawl back to me?
It's just a matter of time now, why can't you see?
I want you down on bended knee,
begging for all the gracious things I gave freely.
After all the distance you've brought me down,
I think I've earned this righteous turnaround.

The gloves are off now; everything's become fair game.
Despite the path I take, the result stays the same.
You've laid down a wall with the stones you've thrown at me.
No longer will I take your pride and sufferings.

Tears on you cheek;
I caress your face,
and shove it in
bitterness you can taste.

So when will you crawl back to me?
It's just a matter of time now, why can't you see?
I want you down on bended knee,
begging for your life - this trip is no longer free.
No more misconceptions to throw at me.
Tired of the lies you use to deceive.

I've fought for you, stained my heart for you.
I've cried for you, would've died for you.
But you fucked with that, gave nothing back.
Now I want it back, so how ‘bout that?

So when will you crawl back to me?
It's just a matter of time now, why can't you see?
I want you down on bended knee,
begging for all the gracious things I gave freely.
After all the distance you've brought me down,
I think I've earned this righteous turnaround.

So when will you crawl back to me?
It's just a matter of time now, why can't you see?
I want you down on bended knee,
begging for your life - this trip is no longer free.
No more misconceptions to throw at me.
Tired of the lies you use to deceive.

So when will you crawl back to me?
It's just a matter of time now, why can't you see?
I want you down on bended knee,
begging for all the gracious things I gave freely.
After all the distance you've brought me down,
I think I've earned this righteous turnaround.
