Alone at last deals with the solitude that is found when people close to you leave.
Alone.
At last.

The solitary tree stands tallest;
Amongst the shrubbery and memories.
Forever tainted background,
Spits mud; spews hatred.

Branches torn. Take my leaves.
I shed - they grow.
I shed, I loved you.

Prime me no more.
Contain my flourish no more.

Flames are licking.
I am immune.

Time to grow?

At last.

Alone.
