writers cramp 080928 prompts: kangaroo, lemon drops, a Robert Frost poem
Prompts:  Kangaroo, Lemon Drop and a Robert Frost Poem
As I walked beneath the hemlock tree a crow shook a dust of snow on me.  Some of the snow fell down the neck of my shirt and it made me long to be somewhere far away from the cold.  I thought of Australia, the land down under, and how much I could really enjoy sitting down there in the summer sunshine, watching the kangaroos and sucking on lemon drops.  My job paid the bills but delivered little satisfaction.  My family members were scattered to the four winds and I had almost no contact with them.  My social life was non-existent.  The melting snow dripping down my back acted as a catalyst.  It was time to make a change, and not just of clothes.
I don’t know what’s going to happen now.  I’m catching a flight to Sydney tonight.  And I don’t have a return ticket.
Thanks for the snow Mr. Crow.
