Dislike folly, not fools.
IN DEFENCE OF FOOLS

Those who condemn a fool must
On this pontificate:
Is his folly acquired or
Just a part of his fate?

If fate was against him and
Deprived him of wisdom,
Blaming him for this would be
Our own folly's symptom.

Yet, for sake of argument,
If folly be acquired,
That can't be voluntary;
no proof for that's required.

It's thus clear that the fools are
Not of their own making.
Their folly, they can't help it.
They're not simply faking.

In the end let's remember
The wise are not the best.
Simpletons may be sometimes
Much better than the rest.
