The instinctive feeling about the beloved's presence. 2nd Place Inspirations Contest
Ambience

In the early autumn glow
When the late evening air
Softly stirred
The leaves
On the tree branches,
I heard them whisper
Your name.

When the crystal
Clear waves
Softly stirred
In the woody stream
I came awake to their lapping-
A sweet singsong
Cool and refreshing
Tilted me to your presence.

When a distant flute
Through thorn
And thicket
Wove its way
Into the labyrinths
Of my heart
Stirring my senses
And my soul
Oh so softly,

I ran down
The seven steps
That led me to you
My love
The be-all and end-all
Of my existence,
Of my million dreams!
