Dreaming A Little Dream...
From your own fingers
tapping on keys
making thoughts into words
ideas into dreams.

Dreams that flutter dizzily
whispering by
through the garden of your mind
like a Spring butterfly.

Whispering, whispering
telling you more
spiraling visions
through unlocked doors.

Doors that are open
dreams that are free
and on one set of wings
a dream about me.

And what is a dream
if not maybe a chance?
A dream is a man coming
asking to dance.

Perhaps it is
perhaps he will
and perhaps dreaming the dream
is like taking a pill.

Taking it, swallowing
holding it tight
hoping to feel better
by the end of the night.

Whispering, whispering
flutter left and then right
the dreams will go deeper
turning darkness to light.

Darkness to light
and what can you see?
The dream that you're dreaming
isn't of me.

No, not me
but damn it feels good
warm, sweet, fluffy
just like a dream should.

So let your wings flutter
set your imagination free
dream every dream that there is
between the Sun and the Sea.
