What is life but a tired game, in pursuit of name and fame?
A TIRED GAME

When life starts we look at it
Through a kaleidoscope,
In which one sees many a
Happy scene full of hope.

As time passes we play our
Innings in the life’s game.
Each plays a different stroke;
No two games are the same.

Through childhood, adolescence,
Then the turbulent youth,
We pass till, in our old age,
We see the final truth.

That life has been a tired game
Played by the cruel fate,
In the end we realise
But then it is too late.
