Short thought on being human
“Wimber!” the old man in the wheelchair called out. “The road is long, you know.”

“Yes, and its winding, too,” a young man sitting next to him replied.

The young man then turned and looked into a woman's eyes as she clasped him on his shoulders.

“Its Ok, Wendell,” she whispered with a gentle, but sad smile. “Your father can’t help it.”

“I know, but it still hurts,” Wendell said, his voice cracking.

“Say, Wimber!” the old man cried again, “The road is long, winding, you know.”

“Yes, Daddy, it is. The road is long,” Wendell whispered as a tear rolled off his cheek and landed in the dust on the floor.
