I'd accelerate rapidly, thought Jimmy, the blurry patchwork below quickly resolving into rocks and trees.  At the last second, I'd flip and...

"Get back from the edge, dude!  Those aren't real anti-grav boots; you got 'em at a convention!"

Jimmy smiled to himself, the power cells tingling his feet.  Yes - a very special convention.
