There's poetry all around the paddock
POETRY IN PADDOCKS
December 11, 2008

Poetry in moving earth,
the stomping berth
of impatient hooves.
The scene improves
as midnight longs
with cricket songs,
and sprite geckos
replace the crows
and the summer breeze
amongst the trees
sits down to rhyme
at twilight time.
