A poem of one lost to the sea
Upon these rocky shores I stood a child before the open sea
Was it the gull upon the wind calling, or a voice once known to me
Long has it been since I heard your morning song
Could the passing of a thousand years  be so long

Gentle as morning dew were your kisses to me
But I could not resist the calling of the sea
On our passage, northern gales blew so strong
Could the passing of a thousand years be so long

Ran’s nets that fateful night did capture me
My thoughts of your love would set me free
How could my belief in Njord been so wrong
Could the passing of a thousand years be so long
