A man expressing emotion towards an unfaithful partner.
Hate to disappoint you, but I won't cry.
Must admit though I do wonder...why?
Who was I in love with this whole time?
Such a facade should be a crime.
You're quite the pretender, yes indeed.
Had me fooled and almost on one knee.

Wish that I could take it all back,
never would I knowingly give my heart to such attack.
We were intimate often when you were mine.
How did I not realize you were absent a spine?

You speak of forgiveness, a second chance.
Shallow talk; an orchestrated dance.
I try to forgive but I'm afraid much is lost.
Cold is my heart, my eyes are frost
.
I placed so much trust in you back then.
Don't know if I'll ever look at anyone like that again.
If you don't love then you can't get burned.
Sad to say.. but lesson learned.
